PA ALEXANDRIA — Alexandria Borough Council reorganizes for 2026 and advances stormwater infrastructure. President Judy Scott and Vice President Mike Peters were unanimously reappointed, while the council voted unanimously to approve two EADS invoices totaling approximately $17,000 as reimbursable costs for the Stormwater Drainage Project. Vice President Peters reported that the borough's $2.5 million grant request was awarded at $500,000, requiring a scaled-back design with priority improvements.

Fire Chief Tom Weyer reported 207 incidents responded to in 2025, the highest on record, and agreed to serve as borough Emergency Management Agency coordinator; the department received a $14,000 Scott Foundation grant for battery-operated ventilation fans and plans to apply for additional grants.
